 CBI Community Engagement

As Jews, we have a tradition of charitable giving; the concept of tzedakah is much broader. Tzedakah means “righteousness; justice.” Tzedakah invites us to be a powerful force for positive change in our community.  It beckons us not only to donate to the poor, but alleviate poverty; not only to heal the sick, but lessen suffering; and not only to comfort the orphan, but uplift families. We hope you will bring your energy and enthusiasm, your hands and your hearts, to help us “perfect the world.”
